Master Terms of Use.

Welcome to Beauty Work Friends™ (“BWF,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of:
the Beauty Work Friends Consultant Membership
Beauty Work Friends for Brands
The Definitive Guide to Launching & Scaling a Beauty Brand & accompanying AI Advisor
all BWF websites, digital products, platforms, tools, events, and services (collectively, the “Services”)
By accessing or using any of the Services, you (“you,” “your,” or “the User”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Services.
In the event of any conflict between these Global Terms and a product-specific addendum, the applicable addendum governs.
1. Eligibility
You represent and warrant that you:
are at least 18 years old
have the capacity to enter a binding agreement
are using the Services for lawful purposes
will comply with all applicable laws and these Terms
We may deny or revoke access at our sole discretion.
2. Accounts & Access
Some Services require account creation. You agree to:
provide accurate information
maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
remain responsible for all activity under your account
Sharing logins or access links is strictly prohibited.
3. Payments & Billing
For Services with associated fees, you agree to:
provide accurate payment information
authorize us and our payment processors (e.g., Stripe) to charge your payment method
accept automatic renewals where applicable
pay all fees when due
Unless stated otherwise in a product-specific addendum:
all payments are non-refundable
billing periods are not prorated
disputed or reversed payments may result in suspended or terminated access
We may modify pricing with advance notice.
4. Intellectual Property
All content within the Services—including templates, frameworks, tools, digital products, design elements, event recordings, branding, and materials—is the exclusive property of Beauty Work Friends™.
You may not:
copy, distribute, modify, or publicly share content
reproduce or create derivative works
resell or sublicense access
develop competing products or programs using our IP
reverse-engineer or extract the structure, prompts, or frameworks
IP violations may result in legal action and immediate termination.
5. Confidentiality
Certain Services involve confidential information (e.g., community forums, Slack channels, job boards, directories, live events).
You agree to:
maintain strict confidentiality
not screenshot, record, share, or publish private discussions or materials
not disclose other users’ proprietary information
honor confidentiality obligations even after termination
6. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
violate any law or regulation
infringe on IP, privacy, or confidentiality rights
scrape, crawl, or extract data from BWF Services
share access credentials with others
harass, abuse, or cause harm to other users
use Services to solicit users for unrelated or competitive offerings
misrepresent your identity, intentions, or professional background
attempt unauthorized access to systems or platforms
We may investigate and take action, including termination or legal enforcement.
7. No Guarantees
While BWF provides strategic guidance and educational content, we do not guarantee:
financial results or profitability
funding or investor outcomes
retail or distribution success
product development outcomes
regulatory or operational results
marketing performance
hiring or consultant outcomes
availability or responsiveness of other users
All business outcomes depend on your individual decisions and circumstances.
8. AI Advisor — Global Disclaimer
Some Services include access to an AI-powered advisor (“AI Advisor”). By using it, you acknowledge and agree that:
the AI Advisor provides educational guidance only
AI-generated responses may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or contextually incorrect
the AI Advisor does not replace professional legal, financial, regulatory, operational, or business advice
any decisions you make based on AI output are solely your responsibility
Beauty Work Friends™ is not liable for:
business setbacks, losses, or negative outcomes
operational, financial, or strategic decisions you make
delays or damages resulting from AI-generated guidance
Use of the AI Advisor is entirely at your own risk.
9. Third-Party Tools & Links
Our Services may integrate with or link to third-party platforms such as Notion, Slack, Stripe, Airtable, Softr, or others.
Beauty Work Friends™ is not responsible for:
outages, downtime, or data loss
privacy or security practices
functionality or availability
content or accuracy
your interactions or agreements with third-party providers
Your use of third-party tools is governed by their terms and policies.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not warrant:
continuous, secure, or error-free access
accuracy or completeness of content
suitability for any specific purpose
outcomes from use of the Services
Your use of Services is voluntary and at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
BWF is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, punitive, or exemplary damages
This includes loss of revenue, profits, business opportunities, or data
Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Beauty Work Friends™ and its officers, affiliates, contractors, contributors, and agents from any losses, damages, claims, or expenses arising from:
your violation of these Terms
your misuse of the Services
disputes with consultants, brands, or other users
your business decisions or actions taken
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if:
you violate these Terms
you misuse BWF intellectual property
you share or distribute protected content
payment fails and is not remedied
your conduct harms other users or the integrity of BWF
Termination does not entitle you to refunds.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms take effect once posted.
Continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Any disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith negotiation must be resolved through binding arbitration in San Francisco County, California (unless prohibited by law).
You waive participation in class actions or class-wide arbitration.

Addendum A: BWF Consultant Membership
These product-specific terms apply to all members (“you,” “your,” or “the Member”) participating in the Beauty Work Friends Consultant Membership (“BWF Consultant Membership,” “Membership,” or “Community”). By joining or accessing the Membership, you agree to both the Global Terms and this Membership Addendum.
1. Eligibility & Admissions
The BWF Consultant Membership is a curated community for senior-level beauty consultants, freelancers, and advisors.
To join, you must:
complete an application
meet our eligibility requirements
be approved by the BWF team
Admission is at our sole discretion. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee acceptance, and we may deny or revoke membership at any time.
2. Membership Inclusions
Membership benefits may evolve over time, but generally include:
access to our private Slack community
bi-weekly office hours
monthly virtual programming (roundtables, masterclasses, guest speakers)
access to the private job board
IRL meetups (and additional member-led informal gatherings)
member resources, templates, updates, and relevant announcements
We reserve the right to modify, add, or discontinue community features at any time.
3. Payment, Billing & Cancellations
Membership is billed on a recurring basis (quarterly or yearly, depending on the Member’s selection).
By enrolling, you agree that:
All payments are final and non-refundable
Membership renews automatically unless cancelled prior to the renewal date
If you cancel, access remains active through the end of the billing cycle
We do not prorate partial billing periods
We may adjust pricing in the future; changes will be communicated in advance.
4. Conduct Expectations
BWF is a professional, respectful, and collaborative community. By joining, you agree to:
engage with members courteously and constructively
refrain from harassment, discrimination, threats, or abusive behavior
honor the confidentiality of conversations, shared knowledge, and community spaces
avoid soliciting members for unrelated services, recruitment, or spam
not share internal resources, insights, or discussions outside the community
We reserve the right to remove members whose behavior violates these standards or disrupts the community environment.
5. Confidentiality
The value of the community depends on trust. You agree to keep confidential:
member discussions
shared strategies, processes, and insights
proprietary resources or materials provided within the Membership
details shared during office hours, roundtables, or private channels
You may not screenshot, record, publish, distribute, or otherwise share content from the Membership without written permission.
6. Collaborations & Introductions
Members often choose to work together, refer work, or collaborate on projects. While we support this, you understand that:
Beauty Work Friends does not vet, guarantee, or supervise member-to-member collaborations
Any engagements formed are between members and undertaken at your own discretion
Beauty Work Friends is not liable for disputes, work outcomes, or contractual issues between members
We strongly encourage members to use written agreements for any collaborations.
7. Directory Visibility (If Applicable)
If your membership includes access to or listing within a consultant directory:
You are responsible for the accuracy of your own profile information
Beauty Work Friends is not responsible for outdated, incorrect, or incomplete information
You authorize us to display your profile within the community directory
You may request profile edits by emailing us.
8. Intellectual Property
All community materials—including templates, event recordings, resources, logos, and brand assets—belong to Beauty Work Friends.
You may not:
copy or repost internal materials
create derivatives
distribute content outside the membership
present BWF materials as your own
This includes community frameworks, discussion prompts, summaries, and behind-the-scenes materials.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate membership at any time, with or without notice, if:
you violate these Terms or the Global Terms
your conduct harms the community or other members
you misuse resources or confidential information
payment fails and is not remedied
Termination does not entitle you to refunds or proration.
You may also terminate your membership at any time through your account settings; cancellation will apply to the next renewal cycle.
10. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms periodically. Continued participation in the Membership after updates indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

Addendum B: BWF Talent Matchmaker
These product-specific terms apply to all brands and brand representatives ("you," "your," or "the Brand") using the BWF Talent Matchmaker service ("the Matchmaker"). By submitting a brief or paying the introduction fee, you agree to both the Global Terms and this Matchmaker Addendum.
1. What the Matchmaker is
The BWF Talent Matchmaker is a curated introduction service. Brands submit a brief describing the expertise they need, and BWF reviews that brief against our vetted network of independent operators. If strong matches exist, BWF presents a shortlist of up to three candidates for your review before any payment is required. If you'd like to move forward, BWF then facilitates warm, personal introductions between you and the candidates you select.
The Matchmaker is an introduction service—not a staffing agency, recruiter, or talent marketplace. BWF is not a party to any agreement, negotiation, or engagement formed between a brand and an operator.
2. How it works
You submit a brief at beautyworkfriends.com/for-brands. Submitting a brief is free.
BWF reviews your brief and assesses fit against the community. This typically takes 2–3 business days.
If matches exist, BWF sends you a private candidate review page with anonymized profiles of up to three candidates—including a summary of each candidate's background and why they fit your brief. No identifying information is shared at this stage.
If no matches are identified, you pay nothing and will be notified directly.
If you'd like to proceed with one or more candidates, you pay the $500 introduction fee.
BWF makes the introductions. The engagement from that point forward is between you and the operator directly.
3. The introduction fee
The introduction fee is $500 per shortlist. It covers the full matchmaking process—reviewing your brief, identifying and vetting candidates, building your shortlist, and facilitating all introductions from that shortlist.
A single $500 fee covers introductions to all candidates presented in your shortlist. The fee is for the matchmaking process and the introductions themselves—not the outcome of those introductions. Whether you move forward with a candidate, reach an agreement, or complete a project is entirely at your discretion. Payment of the introduction fee does not guarantee a hire, a signed engagement, or a successful project.
4. Candidate review and anonymization
Before payment is required, you will receive a private candidate review page containing anonymized profiles. Each profile includes a summary of the candidate's relevant experience, the types of clients and brands they've worked with, and BWF's reasoning for the match. Candidate names, contact information, and identifying details are not disclosed until after the introduction fee has been paid and BWF has confirmed their availability and interest.
BWF reserves the right to determine what information is included in candidate summaries and how candidates are presented.
5. Re-match policy
If none of the candidates in your shortlist result in a fit, contact us and we'll take your feedback into account. Where an additional candidate exists in the BWF network who meets your brief, we will make one attempt to identify and present them at no additional charge.
A re-match is not guaranteed. The availability of an additional candidate depends on the current BWF network and the specifics of your brief. If no suitable additional candidate is identified, or if a re-match candidate is also not the right fit, a new brief submission and a new introduction fee apply.
6. Refunds
Because the fee covers the matchmaking process and the introductions—not the downstream engagement—we do not offer refunds once introductions have been made.

7. Confidentiality
All briefs are treated as confidential. BWF will not disclose the details of your search to anyone beyond what is necessary to facilitate the match.
Candidate profiles shared during the review stage are anonymized and intended solely for your evaluation. You may not share, distribute, or disclose the contents of your candidate review page to any third party.
Individual operator identities are never disclosed prior to payment and confirmation of their interest. The BWF community is not a browsable directory. Introductions are made based on BWF's direct knowledge of the network—not on brand-side access to operator profiles or contact information.
8. Permitted use
Your use of the Matchmaker is solely for identifying independent operators for legitimate business engagements aligned with your submitted brief.
You may not use the Matchmaker:
to solicit operators for unrelated services, marketing outreach, or spam
to misrepresent your brand, project scope, timeline, or budget
to share operator contact information with third parties without the operator's consent
as a means of circumventing standard recruiting or staffing agreements you may have in place
9. No guarantees
BWF does not guarantee:
the availability or interest of any operator
the outcome of any introduction, negotiation, or engagement
that a submitted brief will result in a match
If no match is identified, you will be notified and no fee will be charged.
10. Intellectual property
The Matchmaker process, methodology, and community are proprietary to Beauty Work Friends. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or use the Matchmaker structure to build a competing or adjacent service.

Addendum C: The Definitive Guide to Launching & Scaling a Beauty Brand Digital Resource & AI Advisor – Product Specific Terms
These product-specific terms apply to purchasers and users (“you,” “your”) of The Definitive Guide to Launching & Scaling a Beauty Brand (“the Guide,” “the Product”). By accessing or using the Guide, you agree to both the Global Terms and this Guide Addendum.
1. Nature of the Product
The Definitive Guide to Launching & Scaling a Beauty Brand is a digital product delivered via Notion or another digital platform. It may include:
written content
templates, checklists, tools, and frameworks
worksheets
video or audio content
strategic prompts and exercises
access to an AI-powered advisor (“AI Advisor”)
links to resources
You acknowledge that digital products are non-refundable once delivered or accessed.
2. License & Permitted Use
When you purchase the Guide, you receive a single-user, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the content for your personal or internal business use.
You may not:
share your login, access link, or password with others
distribute, copy, screenshot, or publicly post any part of the Guide
reproduce, sell, or sublicense the content
use the Guide to create competing products, courses, tools, or frameworks
share, upload, or repurpose internal processes, templates, or structures
Any unauthorized use may result in removal of access and potential legal action.
3. Updates & Access
We may update or expand the Guide at any time. Updates are provided at our discretion and are not guaranteed.
We reserve the right to:
modify content
replace or remove sections
change digital delivery platforms
revoke access for misuse or violation of these terms
Access to the Guide is tied to the email used at purchase and is not transferable.
4. No Guarantees or Outcomes
The Guide is designed to support education, clarity, strategic thinking, and business decision-making. However, Beauty Work Friends™ does not guarantee:
specific business results
revenue growth or profitability
successful fundraising or access to capital
retail placement or wholesale success
product development outcomes
regulatory or operational success
marketing or sales performance
Your business outcomes depend on your decisions, execution, budget, market conditions, and unique variables.
5. Use of Examples & Case Studies
Any examples, sample language, case studies, templates, or frameworks in the Guide are illustrative and should not be interpreted as guaranteed strategies, performance indicators, or predictions.
You are responsible for adapting examples to your specific brand and circumstances.
6. AI Advisor — Use, Limitations & Disclaimers
The Guide includes access to an AI-powered advisor (“AI Advisor”), developed to provide clarity, strategic suggestions, examples, and educational support.
By using the AI Advisor, you understand and agree that:

The AI Advisor is not a substitute for:
legal, financial, regulatory, or compliance advice
product development, R&D, or technical formulation guidance
operations, supply chain, or manufacturing consulting
marketing strategy, paid media planning, or professional creative direction
It is designed solely for educational and informational purposes.
6.2 No Guarantees or Accuracy
AI-generated output may be:
inaccurate
incomplete
outdated
contextually incorrect
inconsistent
speculative
Beauty Work Friends™ does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
6.3 You Are Responsible for Decisions Made
You agree that:
all business decisions are your own
you are responsible for verifying information before acting
you will not rely solely on AI output without appropriate due diligence
Beauty Work Friends™ is not responsible for any direct, indirect, or consequential outcomes of using the AI Advisor
6.4 Use at Your Own Risk
Your use of the AI Advisor is voluntary and at your own risk. Beauty Work Friends™ is not liable for:
business losses
project delays or failures
operational or regulatory issues
financial outcomes
reputational harm
By using the AI Advisor, you acknowledge that its output is “take it or leave it” guidance, and must be evaluated with your own judgment.
7. Intellectual Property
All content in the Guide—including writing, frameworks, checklists, templates, structures, prompts, and visuals—is the exclusive property of Beauty Work Friends™.
You may not:
copy or reproduce any part of the Guide
create derivative works
distribute or publish internal materials
use the content to build or enhance competing products, services, or educational materials
Violation of our intellectual property rights may result in legal action and revocation of access.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
misuse, replicate, or reverse-engineer the Guide
share access links or duplicate materials
circumvent platform protections
publish or resell content
use the Guide to solicit consultants or members in ways that violate other BWF Terms
9. Termination
We may suspend or revoke your access to the Guide at any time, with or without notice, if:
you violate these Terms
you misuse, share, or distribute content
your behavior poses risk to the community or platform
payment is reversed, disputed, or refunded
Termination does not entitle you to a refund.
